Jackie Earle Haley to play Rorschach in Watchmen?

According to actor Paddy Considine, who was attached to the Watchmen movie back when Paul Greengrass was still supposed to direct, filmstudio Warner Bros has asked Jackie Earle Haley to star as Rorschach. Rorschach is one of the most important characters in the graphic novel the book is based on, and it's interesting to see that the studio has decided to not go with too big a name, and instead opts for a more acclaimed actor. Haley recently bagged an Oscar nomination for his role in Little Children.

So, is Patrick Wilson Nite Owl in Watchmen or not?

For his upcoming Watchmen adaptation, Zach Snyder has let it be known that he would like Patrick Wilson to play the role of Nite Owl. But when Coming Soon recently interviewed Wilson, he was trying his best to deny anything was going on. Not very successfully, by the way... When asked about the part, he had this to say: "I would blab my mouth cause I certainly haven't been told to keep quiet. It's just out of respect for them trying to get everybody else on board before I go ahead and blab my mouth, but it's pretty cool. It's exciting stuff."

Keanu Reeves says no to Watchmen

John Cusack wants to be in the upcoming Watchmen adaptation, but Keanu Reeves doesn't. Even though his name was mentioned for the role of Dr. Manhattan, Reeves has rejected the part. It might be that Reeves isn;t interested in another comic book movie after Constantine, but this is not just another comic he is turning down. Watchmen is considered to be one of the best graphic novels ever made, and the movie adaptation is highly anticipated. Alas, without Reeves then.
