There probably isn't a single movie site out there that doesn't have a few headlines about Spider-Man 3's record breaking opening weekend, as well as additional articles on the box office expectations for many of this summer's other big movies. So I thought I'd do something a bit different, and leave this summer's box office (mostly) to the other sites. Instead, I'll take you back to the summer of 93, another summer season where box office records were broken, franchises started, careers crushed and all the other drama that makes summer box office season so interesting. This was the summer season that Jurassic Park and The Last Action Hero battled for the number one position, and where the true meaning of the words 'sleeper hit' first became clear.
