One of the challenges I put myself recently, was to, in one year time, make my money from blogging. And not just a bit of money, like I make with my blogs now, but the money I need to support my family. So in case you googled "I want to make money with my blog" and you ended up here, I'll have to disappoint you. I don't have the magic formula yet. I could tell you to go away and come back in one year time, but on the other hand you can also stick around and see how I struggle to do this, so you can avoid any of the mistakes I may make. Of course, if you have been reading this blog already for some time, you will know that I have tried to break through in this blogging business thing already for quite a while, albeit still without too much success. Sure, I appreciate the money that Google puts on my account (almost) every month, but it's not the type of amount you can really splash out with.
So, now you are probably wondering how I plan on achieving my goal, and if it is even possible. To start with that last question: Yes it is possible, but so far seemingly only for a select few bloggers. Sure, you may run into Google Ads promising you blogging miracles on almost every website you visit, but I think most of those people are just hopefull that one day they will make it big, without actually having achieved anything yet. There are of course some good examples of people who have made their hobby projects into something they can support themselves with. Take the very informative ProBlogger for instance, a site I check regularly, on the one hand for ideas, on the other hand to see that it is possible.
Basically, what it boils down to is that you need a good idea, but even more so the willpower to really make things work. I have ideas all over the place, that's not so much the problem (of course they still have to prove themselves as being something that can become a bit of a success), it's more that I tend to be excited about something for a few weeks, and then lose my interest completely, way before they have been able to achieve any form of success whatsoever. I cannot tell you what has changed now in my way of thinking though, but I am quite confident that this time I will be able to really work for it, and to really make something out of Scribble King.com and the many blogs hanging from it. And I can promise you that this site will be informative in one of two ways: 1: As an example of How To Become Filthy Rich By Making Your Own Weblog, or 2: As an example of how not to do it...
(as a matter of fact, I will settle for being an example of how to make a nice bit of extra money from your weblog, while still having fun doing it)
Problogger is the one which is also used to visit regular, it has very good information especially helps both the beginner and on-going bloggers ! In order to make money from your blog, all you need is Huge Traffic !

If you want to make serious money from blogging, you must have complete control over your blog – and that’s something the free blogging accounts won’t give you. You’ll be bound by their terms and conditions and that usually includes not being able to actively promote anything. There are plenty of people who have established a blog only to have it removed without notice some weeks or months later.
