The Time Traveller's Wife is one of the best books I have read in recent years, and I have been following developments of this movie project closely (not that there was already a lot to follow, but that's beside the point). Personally, I would have loved to have seen Rachel McAdams and Christian Bale in the leads, and my wishes have been fulfilled for 50 percent. Because while McAdams is there (which was already hinted at earlier on, since she has been flirting with this movie for some time already), Bale isn't. The male lead in the movie will be performed by Eric Bana, and I think that's actually a pretty good choice as well. Shooting of the movie will start in August, for a release date somewhere next year. Direction will be handled by Robert Schwentke, who earlier directed Flightplan. I hope they'll be able to do the book justice. To read more about it, check this article I wrote a year ago.
