Watch how Pirates 2 was made

Apple has a very interesting new featurette on their Quicktime site, in which you can see a little bit of how the second Pirates movie was made. It's not too long, but contains a lot of interesting shots. I really dig the atmosphere on some of the islands (four in total) where this movie was shot, and some of the locations really gave me the feeling that the original theme park attraction is so good at bringing to life. Besides that, you can see from this featurette that the people behind the movie had a lot of fun making it, and that they took a lot of time and effort to make sure it was as good as it can be. Bodes very well for the full picture, coming out in a few weeks.

Some time ago I gave you a link to the second full Pirates trailer, which pretty much blew all the other trailers for the big summer movies out of the water, but which took forever to download. Now Apple has the trailer on their site, and in glorious quality as well. So head on over to their site and click for the size you want. You can also check out Teaser 3 here, which I hadn't seen yet but which has some pretty interesting images as well.

New Pirates of the Caribbean 2 trailer online

The new trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest is online, and it's one of the coolest trailers of the summer. It shows you everyting you want: action, comedy, adventure and the promise of this movie being at least as fun as the original POTC. Johnny Depp steals the show once again, consider if you will the conversation he has with Keira Knightley regarding her outfit, but I must also say that the new Bad Guy for this movie, Davy Jones, will probably be grabbing headlines as well. He's even a lot creepier than first bad guy Captain Barbosa, but also has some comedy potential. One word of warning before you click the link. It's not an official site and it does not seem to have a lot of bandwith space, meaning it will take some time for you to download the trailer. So click the link, have dinner or a walk or a shower, and then when you come back be prepared to be entertained!

Last week there were some stirrings on the Net, as a Russian website hosted the first teaser trailer for the second Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Quite a feat, since the trailer is still being kept under wraps by Disney and thus the trailer quickly dissapeared again. It no doubt buckled under the pressure of 1) thousands of movie fans wanting to see it at the same time, and 2) Disney, who no doubt want to keep their teaser as secret as possible. However, now the teaser is back, this time at a website called What Would Tyler Durden Do, and if you want to see it, you better hurry up before it's gone from that site as well! It's worth the rush, because even though the visual quality is pretty bad, it's still a lot of fun to watch, showing quite a lot for a teaser trailer. It looks like another mix of comedy, adventure and some scary moments and the movie will no doubt become a big hit in the summer of next year. The funny thing about the teaser is that, at the beginning, it says something along the lines of: "In theaters this summer", meaning Disney's plan is probably to only unveil this teaser somewhere in the beginning of next year.
