Nacho Libre loses, but not without putting up a fight

Nacho Libre failed to battle it's way to the top of the American box office chart, but performed above expectations anyway. While most box office watchers predicted a gross in the area of $ 15-20 million, the movie ended up well above that, with $ 27.5 million. A very good start for the movie, which will face some stiff competition from fellow comedy Click, which opens coming weekend. Let's see if Jack Black can beat Adam Sandler (but I wouldn't bet on it if I were you).

Danny Elfman removes his name from Nacho Libre score

There have been some confusion things happening with the music for Nacho Libre. Danny Elfman composed the music for the movie, but you won't find his name on the credits. Apparently, Elfman is none too happy that some of the parts of the music he made were not used in the film, replaced by some other music that Elfman does not want to be associated with. Since he spent a lot of time on the pieces that were removed, he decided to just leave it be and take his name out of the credits. For more on this from an inside source, click here.

Jack Black challenges Steven Seagal to wrestling match

After training intensively for his new movie, Nacho Libre, Jack Black has become quite confident in his wrestling skills. Even so confident, that he has laid down a challenge for cinema strongman Steven Seagal. In Sports Illustrated, Black says: ""I should take down someone who is strong, so Steven Seagal (would be perfect) - with his ridiculous Indian gear, ponytail and swagger. He's the best fighter in the world in his own mind, so I'll take him down two notches with my Anaconda Squeeze and Face Melter." For this feat, Black is planning on using his own special move. "The Wind of A Lion is basically a submission hold. You get the guy down, you sit on his face and then you release the lion's wind. That usually spells complete defeat." Can't wait to see that!

You won't find many trailers this summer that are funnier than the one for Nacho Libre, the new movie from Jack Black and Jared Hess (director of Napoleon Dynamite). In the trailer, you will find Jack Black as a Mexican monk, who dons wrestling tights in order to save his monastry. Yeah, the idea sounds crazy, the trailer is hilarious, and if all goes well this could be the funniest movie of the year. Fingers crossed!
