"There are other forces at work here": New The Happening trailer online

  I'll admit that after Lady in the Water, I was a bit afraid M. NIght Shyamalan had lost his touch. The movie is bad in a hilarious way, and it made you wonder how it was possible that this talented man had all of a sudden lost his ability to direct a movie. So I don't know if this has to be credited to the people who cut the trailer for his new movie or not, but The Happening looks like it could be a great return to form. The concept of the movie is really brilliant, but since the trailer doesn't really explain it, I won't go ahead and spoil it either (you can always look it up on the IMDB).

What the trailer does reveal, however, is that something is very wrong. All over the world, people are mysteriously dying. Chemical attacks by terrorists are offered up as the reason, but it soon becomes clear that other forces may be at work here. The trailer is excellent at building up the tension and gives you a few clues about what you can expect. Personally, I am especially curious as to wether or not that huge blue ring Mark Wahlberg is wearing in the trailer has any significance for the rest of the movie. The Happening looks like it will be a big disaster movie with a difference, so I'll eagerly anticipate its release in June.

"Are we just gonna go in there and kill 'em?": Street Kings trailer online

This trailer is a big flashback to the 80's. And honestly, I don't mean a flashback to the great action movies of those days, but to the crappy ones that were hidden away in some dark corner of the videostore. This trailer for the cop thriller starring Keanu Reeves, Common and Chris Evans hits all the wrong notes. Bad one liners, muddled action and no clear sense of what is going on. When this last issue is handled well, like in the trailer for The Happening, it's no problem, but here you just want to press that little red x in the top right corner of your screen.
It might be that the movie turns out to be okay, because the elements are there. Reeves as what looks like a cop who doesn't play by the rules, Common on fire in the bad guy role... But if they don't recut this trailer to something more exciting before the release date, this movie might be in trouble.

Coraline teaser online

Coraline is one of the more exciting animated features coming up this year, and in case you have been looking around for that teaser trailer that has been doing the rounds, you won't have to search anymore. Coraline is the new movie by Henry Selick, director of Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach, based on the book by Neil Gaiman. It's about a girl who enters a strange world that is parallel to ours, with a new set of parents, but who struggles to get back to our world. The animation looks wonderful, and since this movie is going to be released in 3D, you know you are in for a treat.

Check the trailer of Wanted

Wanted shapes up to be a fun movie to look forward to. It's based on a comic book, written by Mark Millar, and features James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie. The trailer is full on action and tells the story nicely, without giving away too much. Well worth your clicking time.

Over at the Quicktime trailer site, they have a brand new movie trailer for Iron Man. There's also a TV spot there, which shows some different stuff than the trailer does. It all looks very promising, and it seems that we are on the brink of getting a new superhero franchise that's worth looking out for.

Kate Beckinsale has a new thriller coming out, in which she plays a mother who neglects her kid, which has some serious repercussions for her. The trailer is well put together, and shows you that alongside Beckinsale, there's also Sam Rockwell on the credit list. Click the play button to have a look at Snow Angels.

One of the many movies showing their stuff during the Super Bowl was Prince Caspian, the second Narnia movie. If you weren't able to catch the spot during the game, here is your chance to see it in it's full glory.

If you're an American, you have probably seen both the Super Bowl and this new Wall.E TV-spot already. But if you're not, or if you saw the game on a station that showed its own commercials, then here is a chance for you to see the spot after all. It's pretty funny and even features Buzz and Woody out of Toy Story, which is a nice bonus.

First 3:10 to Yuma trailer online

If you are looking for some kick-ass western action, then look no further than the first trailer for James Mangold's 3:10 to Yuma. The movie stars Christian Bale and Russell Crowe and is all about a group of men who have to transport a villain (Crowe) to jail, with the trip turning out to be a bit more eventful than most of the travellers had hoped for. The trailer is more than happy to throw a few spoilers your way, but I'll guess we'll have to let that slide for once, since it's all backed up by the type of cool wild west action we haven't see for too long.
