Knocked Up is the new movie from the guys who made The 40 Year Old Virgin. It's about a one night stand that get's a little out of hand, with Katherine Heigl ending up 'knocked up' by Seth Rogen. Ain't It Cool News has the premiere of no less than three posters for this movie, and even though they are not all as interesting, this one to the left surely is. It's a lot like the poster for Virgin, let's hope the movie can also match the quality of that flick.
I thought the premise for Blades of Glory (two disgraced male figure skaters form a team to compete at the Olympics, in the icedancing for couples competition) was pretty fun, but after seeing the trailer I wasn't so sure anymore. I must say, the poster that is now released isn't really helping change my opinion back to the good side very much. It looks a bit too smug for it's own good, but the movie might be a hit anyway, with the icedancing craze that's sweeping all over Europe right now (or is it just Holland that's crazy at the moment?). Still, a movie with Will Ferell and Jon Heder can't really be bad, can it?
There's another spoof movie coming up, called Delta Farce, but it has an advantage over Epic Movie in the fact that at least the posters are pretty funny. The Internet Movie Poster Awards has all three different versions up, featuring Larry The Cable Guy, DJ Qualls and Bill Engvall as the type of army men I'm sure every male reader has played with at least once in their youth (if only to see if they would melt next to a fire).
I must admit that I had never heard of this movie, The King of California, before seeing these two posters, but now that I have seen them I am very intrigued. The style of the posters is original, while the face of Michael Douglas on that first poster also promises something we have not seen from Douglas before. I went over to IMDB to check the plot for the movie, and now I'm even more intrigued. Douglas is Charlie, an unstable dad who one day gets out of a mental institution and tries to convince his daughter (Evan Rachel Wood) that there is Spanish gold buried somewhere, and they have to go out and find it. Then I found out the movie even already has a trailer, and after watching that I'm even more psyched. Douglas is clearly having a lot of fun with his role, while the idea behind the movie is a break from what we normally see him in. Plus, the movie has Wood, who is very careful in picking out projects that are a bit off beat as well. Click the continue for the trailer!

The poster for Scarlett Johansson's new movie, the Nanny Diaries, has been posted online. It's an amusing poster, for could very well be a highly amusing movie. It's nice to see Scarlett in a more lightweight movie than she has been in recently, and even though it's safe not to expect too big things from this, it will no doubt be a fun flick to spend a spring day with when it's released in April. The Internet Movie Poster Awards has posted the Japanese version of the Simpsons teaser poster, which is more or less a variation on the poster we already knew, but showing us more. Click!
The trailer for weird but very interesting movie Black Snake Moan is online, and it will only help increase the high 'most wanted' status of this movie. In the trailer we see Samuel L. Jackson as a god fearing man who one day finds a young woman (Christina Ricci) in front of his house. She is severely beaten up and he decides to take care of her, When he finds out the source of her injuries, nymphomania, leading to one of her many boyfriends beating her up, he even decides to chain her up in his house to 'cure her' of her lust for sex. It sounds highly original and the trailer is a perfect taster of what we can expect from this movie. And while you are at it, click the thumbnail for a bigger look at the new poster!
