First poster online for The Dark Knight

Following the reveal of Heath Ledger's face on one of the Dark Knight teaser websites, here is the same image on the first teaser poster for the movie. I have to say that this way, in high resolution and in this size, the image is even more imposing than it already was in the first place. I wonder though what the general public, who haven't been hunting for The Joker's face, is going to say about this poster, and about the fact that "Hey, this isn't like Jack Nicholson at all!" I like this teaser poster a lot, what do you think?

Anthony Michael Hall joins The Dark Knight

It's been confirmed that Anthony Michael Hall will join the cast of the new Batman movie. Sadly, he is not allowed to say anything about who he is actually going to play. "I signed a confidentiality agreement, and I can't say which part I'm playing because it affects the story. I can't give away the suspense - it's a $200 million surprise, and I don't want to be the guy to ruin it." Let the speculating begin!

Another villain to take on Batman in The Dark Knight

As if he doesn't have enough trouble with The Joker, and maybe also Scarecrow, here is another villain to add to the list of villains for The Dark Knight: Gamble. Even though I've read Batman comics for quite a few years, the name doesn't really ring a bell, and other trustworthy sources of Batman news have also never seen this character appear in anything Batman-related either. It's not even sure that this character was already allowed to have been revealed anyway, the only reason why we are hearing about him being the fact that rapper David Banner mentioned to MTV that he auditioned for the part.

The Joker revealed

Seems like we can finally have our first look at Heath Ledger in the guise of The Joker. It's not just going to be 'click on this link and look at the picture' though, since Warner Bros has thought up a nice way of making you have to do some work for it. Just go to this website, http://www.ibelieveinharveydenttoo.com/ (yes, a play on the Harvey Dent website which was revealed a few days ago) and enter your e-mail address and the code underneath, after which WB will send you further instructions. Is it worth the trouble? Oh yes. Now you can see that Ledger will look nothing like those Joker-pictures we have seen on the net before, and he truly does look deranged, like a villain of his stature should. Hint: It isn't anything like the picture on the left...

Teaser site online for... Harvey Dent?

Seems like Warner Bros is cranking up the publicity for their upoming Bat-movie, because after the (rather skinny) teaser site that was opened for The Dark Knight earlier this week, here comes a second teaser site. The site urges you to vote for Harvey Dent as district attorney, and if you know a little bit about the comic you probably know already how that is going to end. It's a funny site that shows Warner Bros is determined to make sure The Dark Knight will get all the attention it deserves, even if it isn't even coming out yet until next year.

Scarecrow to return in The Dark Knight?

Let's make it a trio of nuggets of Batman news then. According to the best source on the web for Batman news, Batman on Film, The Scarecrow will return in the second movie. You may recall that he didn't actually die or get caught at the end of the first movie, this might very well be true. But let's file this under 'rumors' for now, at least until official word is out.

Maggie Gyllenhaal impressing Dark Knight director

Actress Maggie Gyllenhaal has so impressed her Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan that he has decided to make her part in the new Batman movie bigger. Which, if you consider the fact that Katie Holmes dropped out of the movie because her role wasn't big enough, probably won't go down very well with Mrs. Cruise. No word on what this increased screentime will mean, but we will no doubt find out when the movie hits next year.

Eric Roberts in Dark Knight Returns

That's an interesting bit of news! Batman On Film reports that no other than Eric Roberts will be in the new Batman movie, in the role of Mafia kingping Sal Maroni. Roberts reportedly beat out actors like James Gandolfini and Bob Hoskins for the role, mainly because director Christopher Nolan was set on having him in his movie.

Dark Knight teaser website up

Honestly, it doesn't get much more teaser than this,since the only thing you will be able to see on the new website that Warner Bros put up for The Dark Knight is a logo. Well, at least it's a nice logo!
