Continuing today's news coverage of Jessica Biel, I can also point you towards the first image of the new cover of GQ magazine, which has Ms. Biel on the cover. Quite the striking image, just as this other picture that was scanned by website Hollyscoop and which you can also see by clicking on the link.
Mischa Barton and Rumer Willis (yep, Bruce's daughter) have signed on to star in a movie that is being described as Chinatown with girls: Sophomore. Barton will play a girl who is very popular at her Catholic high school, but who starts making enemies when she persuades a sophomore reporter to dig deeper into a theft of SAT exams. It quickly becomes apparent that both the president of the school, as well as the school's top jock are involved, and it seems like Barton's character has bit of more than she can chew. Willis Jr. will play Barton's goofy best friend, while Willis Sr. is the corrupt school principal.
Who ever said that filming sex scenes is without risks? Ask Jessica Alba, who had a little accident while filming a sex scene for her upcoming comedy Good Luck Chuck. In the movie, which also stars Dane Cook, Alba is a woman who is kind of accident prone, and to prove that, Alba chipped a tooth. ""It was very violent. We were hitting walls... and his tooth knocked my tooth," Alba told Wenn press agency.
Dutch actress Carice van Houten, who we last saw stealing Paul Verhoeven's Black Book, has signed on to play the biggest role of her career, opposite Tom Cruise in Bryan Singer's Valkyrie. The movie tells the story of a group of German generals who devise a plot to kill Hitler, and also stars Kenneth Branagh, Patrick Wilson, Stephen Fry and Tom Wilkinson. This is already the third English language picture Van Houten has signed on for, after two smaller movies Smoke and Ochre and Dorothy Mills. Shooting on Valkyrie will start in July, in Berlin.
Settle down, Beckinsale fans, she only wants to be a man in the movies! Kate Beckinsale enjoyed watching The 40 Year Old Virgin so much, that it made her want to wish to play a man someday in the future. "I'd like to play a man," Beckinsale told Cntact Music. "The last DVD I bought was The 40 Year Old Virgin and it made me so want to be a man! I love the part in the movie when the guy's sitting in the bar and the other guy starts flicking him in the balls. Women don't do that to each other. "I'd love to say to my girlfriends, 'What's up bitch?' like guys say to one another. I'm jealous of boys. They're lucky!"
There's a new trailer online for Elisha Cuthbert's Captivity, and to be honest, the trailer tells me everything I need to know about this movie: Pass! I'm sure fans of the genre will lap it up, but to me not even the starring role for Cuthbert is enough to persuade me to go out and watch this sick piece of unoriginal moviemaking. Still, judge for yourself by clicking the link!
A few more weeks to go, and the release of Transformers will shoot the popularity of Megan Fox into the stratosphere. Already she is creeping to the top of the list of most searched for actresses, and it won't be long before she is number one (as a matter of fact, her page on this site is already second in number of visitors to Scarlett Johansson's site). To make you a bit more familiar with the young actress, click through for a gallery with some of her very best pictures.
Rachel Weisz has signed on to star in Peter Jackson's new movie, The Lovely Bones. The movie, based on a book by Alice Sebold, tells the story of a young girl who is abducted and murdered. She goes to heaven, and from there watches her family and friends live on without her. Weisz will play the role of the girl's mother. Shooting for the film is going to start in October, so there are still some more casting announcements coming no doubt very soon. The Lovely Bones is a book that is somewhere in the middle of my pile of books I still have to read, and now that the movie adaptation is becoming clearer, I think it's high time I move it up in the pile a little bit.
Normally I try to stay away from any papparazzi type news, unless it involves shots having been taken on the set of some big new movie. But when you see a picture of Liv Tyler greeting friend Kate Bosworth by kissing her full on the lips, I'll make an exception. And judging from the pic, it isn't even a quick peck on the lips either. The pics are priceless just for Bosworth's expression alone, since it's clear that the most she had been expecting was a quick kiss on the cheeks.
Remember that Russian pop duo t.A.T.u.? They were probably more famous for their fake Lesbian act than for their music, but still big enough to get their own movie. In Come Back t.A.T.u., two girls who really love the band fall in love with each other and get into a love affair that quickly deteriorates into tears and bloodshed. Not that it matters, because any male Mischa Barton fans reading this and seeing the name of their star mentioned in the same item as the word lesbian love affair, will probably have made their mind up that they want to see this movie anyway.
