When the voice acting on an animated movie is being done, the actors doing the voices mostly do their acting alone, without the other actors involved with the scene being in the room. The lead characters do normally meet each other at some point during production, but for the first time this wasn't the case with Ratatouille's lead voice actors Patton Oswalt and Lou Romano. "It's strange knowing that these characters are so tight in the film, and never meeting until after the film is completely finished!" Romano told the Disney Insider, in an interesting article that goes a bit deeper into the process of selecting and recording the voices for Ratatouille. It ends by explaining that Romano and Oswalt are planning on meeting at the premiere.
