Scribble King Podcast 12: Scientology vs South Park! Natalie Portman! Winona Ryder! Inside Man!

Wiry

Season 2, Episode 1!

The Scribble King Podcast returns with the Academy Awards, Scientology and South Park’s Chef, vulgarity with Natalie Portman and a review of Inside Man. The long awaited second season of the Scribble King Podcast has begun!

Yes ladies and gentlemen, we are back! After a longer than expected break, our show is back in the air (well, actually it's back online, but I always thought back in the air sounded cool), for the start of our second season. We have a review of Spike Lee's excellent new movie, Inside Man, take a look at South Park and their troubles with the Scientology, listen to Natalie Portman rapping, take a look at Winona Ryder nude (as if!) and deal with the recent Oscar ceremony. Plus there's the latest news and everything else you could (or couldn't) wish for. Just have a click at this here link to listen to the show that has been downloaded over 10.000 times in it's first season!

Scribble King Podcast 11: Rambo 4, Saw 2, Chicken Little, Scarlett Johansson

Scph039After a long silence we return with lots of news! We talk about Rambo 4, Saw 2 and animated movies amongst others. To top it off Patrick is forced to sit through Land of the Dead in his Unvoluntary Review. Start your download now!

Ladies and Gentlemen, we present to you our latest podcast! It's been a while, but after clicking on the link below you will be taken to the new show, with the latest movie news and reviews and some cool movie music as a bonus. Yes, it has happened again, Patrick was forced to sit through one of Onno's horrible movies, this time Land of the Dead. Listen to Patrick try to avoid having to talk about the experience, after which Onno ruthlessly changes the subject to Saw 2! Apart from that, we disucss the seven words that we could only have dreamed of ever hearing: Scarlett Johansson will play an Amazon Warrior!
But that's not all. We discuss the latest movie news, the results of our previous poll, we announce the new poll (vote now!) and generally spend 35 minutes talking about movies like there is nothing more important going on in the world. Then again, what's more important in life than movies?

Scribble King Podcast 10: The Biggest Fall Movies, scary Oompa Loompa's and Sean Penn

Sean_pennA normal-sized podcast to get things rolling after the summer vacation. Patrick wouldn't want to be in a room with Oompa Loompa's, Onno likes Charlie and the Chocolate Factory better than The Island, Steve Buscemi is remaking movies of the late Dutch filmmaker Theo van Gogh and a new poll is announced.

It's been a long time, but the latest podcast has been worth the wait. It clocks in at a snappy 30 minutes but is jam packed with all the latest movie news, reviews of some big summer movies and more. It's podcast number 10, and this is only the beginning. For future podcasts we have some interesting interviews lined up for you, which we talk about in more detail in this week's show, and we will also increase the frequency with which a new podcast is released. To check out this week's show, just click on this here link (or close your eyes and click your heels twice) and you will be magically transported to the right destination.

Scribble King Podcast 9: Summer Blockbusters, The Island and The Transformers

TransformersPodcastlogo1_14Another jam-packed episode this time. We talk about the summer blockbusters, a possible ET sequel and a Smurfs trilogy. We also have three reviews and an interview with actor Mark Christopher Lawrence from Fear of a Black Hat, who appeared in The Island recently.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the 9th podcast is here! To make up for the fact that it has been some time since the last one, we made this the longest podcast yet. Clocking in at a cool 67 minutes, this is a movie fest that you could almost call feature length! What to expect in the new show? Almost too much too mention! We discuss the ongoing movie summer, with all the blockbusters and not so blockbusters. We discuss some upcoming movies, including the Transformers movie (woohoo!), ET 2 (eh?) and a trilogy of digitally animated Smurfs features... Then there is our main attraction: an interview with actor Mark Christopher Lawrence. He is one of those actors whose face you know, but whose name you might not be able to place. We put an end to that, giving this fine actor the attention he deserves. He is probably best known from cult hit Fear of a Black Hat, but also has a small role in current blockbuster The Island. And acting is not all he does!

To top the show off, there are three reviews of recent movies (War of the Worlds, Sahara and Herbie: Fully Loaded. Place your bets now which one we liked the most!), give you the latest movie news (including some new info on world changer David Lynch) and some cool movie music. And all yoou have to do for all that movie goodness is to click right here!

Scribble King Podcast 8: Is Tom Evil? Hollywood and the Scientology

TomcruisePodcastlogo1_12 Could this be our best show yet? In this hour long podcast we go all out on Tom Cruise and specifically the Church of Scientology. Is Tom Cruise evil? Is Hollywood in the grasp of this religious sect? We also have the latest movie news, some memorable eighties music, a Tom Cruise poem and last-but-not-least a War of the Worlds preview. In the
words of Fat Boy Slim: "Check it out now!"

Investigativejournalism is the keyword in this new podcast. We dug up everything we could find on the Scientology and give you an as objective as possible look at this organization. We unearth the facts you never knew. But that's not all, since we also have a large review of Batman Begins, preview War of the Worlds and have the first of what we hope will be a series of poems by popular Internet poet Gedicht! Apologies for the bad sound in the first 15 minutes of the show. We were trying out a new set-up. Still, you should be happy I'm not doing the technical stuff, or we would sound like we are broadcasting from some bunker somewhere! Click here to check out the new podcast!

Scribble King Podcast 7: Herbie, Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Batman Begins

Podcast_7Podcastlogo1_10 A full show this time. Herbie is back! We also talk about Linsay Lohan's breasts, Batman Begins, the MTV Movie Awards, Napoleon Dynamite, superhero movies and much more!

The summer movie season is now in full swing. Mr. and Mrs. Smith have assassinated the box office and we look at this movie, as well as the impact that the relationship between co-stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie has had on the succes. We also look ahead to Batman Begins and the new Herbie movie, which unexpectedly moved the conversation in the direction of Lindsay Lohan's breasts. Speaking of Lindsay, we discuss her possible upcoming role in a remake of Barbarella, as well as some other remakes knocking on the door. To top it all off, we discuss The MTV Movie Awards and have a final peek at the Cannes Film Festival. This, amongst many other topics, makes this one of our most packed shows yet! You can download the new show by clicking here. Join our hundreds of loyal listeners now!

Scribble King Podcast 6: Star Wars, Batman Begins and Cannes 2005

AnakinPodcastlogo1_9 A lot to talk about in this extra long edition of the Scribble King podcast. Revenge of the Sith, a sequel to Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, the hype surrounding Paris Hilton, Batman Begins, Kingdom of Heaven and much more. Tune in now!

For the newest podcast, how could we talk about anything else than Star Wars? Patrick saw the movie and tells you all about his thoughts in an extra long review. But that's not the only thing being discussed in this podcast. We talk about the film festival in Cannes, have a double review of Kingdom of Heaven, discuss the new David Lynch project and look forward to The Rum Diaries, while we also check up on all the latest film news. You can download the new podcast by clicking on this link. If you have any comments about the new show, let us know! You can e-mail us, leave us a comment, or send an audio comment, which we will then use in Scribble King Podcast 7.

Scribble King Podcast 5: Superman, The Wicker Man and a special summer preview

Superman_returnsPodcastlogo1_8 Technical problems overcome, we discuss amongst others the poll results, Superman's new outfit, the summer blockbusters and ofcourse there's another Unvoluntary Review!

Yes ladies and gentlemen, we had planned to give you another show already last week, but due to some technical problems we had to postpone the show, but this time we make it up with 40 minutes of podcast goodness! We discuss Superman's outfit, as well as Ghost Rider's bike, pick up our Star Wars coverage and tell you which movies to see this summer. Our special feature is the second Unvoluntary Review, in which we discuss The Wicker Man, a classic British horror movie that will be remade with Nicholas Cage in the lead. Besides that, you will hear Patrick say 'indeed' at least twenty times! Download episode 5 by clicking on this link and make sure to check back regularly for new episodes.

Podcast 4: More Sin City, plus a discussion on downloading movies

Downloading_1Podcastlogo1_7 A special edition of the Scribble King podcast! We discuss illegal downloading of movies with two special guests and can't resist watching Sin City as a test case.

Downloading movies illegally: How bad is it for the movie industry? Is there something the movie industry can do about it? And does it make you feel dirty to watch one of those copies? We test this with a copy of Sin City, the movie everybody is talking about these days, and have a big discussion about it with special guests Jeroen Geelhoed and Martijn Verkuijl. Besides that we discuss the merits of Sin City. All four of the people in the show love the comic, but will they also love the movie? And can our guests endure Patrick's endless barrage of lame jokes? Good thing Onno is getting mighty handy with the editing scissors... This special edition is about 38 minutes long and features some tunes from the soundtrack of Sin City. You can download it by clicking here.

Podcast 3: Sin City, James Bond and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Sin_cityPodcastlogo1_5 A short and sweet edition of the Scribble King podcast this time. We talk about the Sin City premiere, Tarantino's Inglorious Bastards, The Woodsman, a preview of the summer blockbusters and much more.

Yes ladies and gentlemen, the third podcast is online! It's a very snappy, 30 minutes long show where Onno and me deal with a lot of different subjects. Main topic is, ofcourse, Sin City. The movie is out and we share our thoughts about this movie, which we (like many movie lovers here in Europe) are waiting for anxiously. Besides that, we have some news on the new James Bond movie (actually, make that two James Bond movies!), discuss some leaked Star Wars pictures and look forward to two of the biggest movies of the coming summer, The Island and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We even have a little surprise for fans of the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie! Also featured in the new podcast is a double review of The Woodsman, a provocative movie that has entered and left movie theaters fairly unnoticed, and Inglorious Bastards, the new Quentin Tarantino movie. You can download the podcast by clicking on this link, or by dragging the link into your RSS Newsreader (for more information on how to do that, click here). It's also still possible to download the two previous podcasts.
