In some cases you don't even need a trailer to be convinced that this is a movie you want to see. Case in point: Smokin' Aces. It has a great storyline: Seven hitmen are all out for the head of the same guy, Buddy Israel. Israel is a Vegas entertainer, who has decided to snitch on the mob, and now the mob wants him dead. Badly. Resulting in total chaso when all these hitman try to kill Buddy off at the same time, in the same hotel. This movie also has a great cast: Jeremy Piven as Buddy Israel! Jason Bateman! Ryan Reynolds! Ben Affleck! Plus, as an added bonus, there's the director, Joe Carnahan, who we finally get to see something new from after he bailed on Mission Impossible 3. So, you know, I want to see this movie, I don't even need the trailer! Oh, okay, if you insist...
And then you realize: this trailer is amazing! Now I want to see the movie even more! This could very well be the first must see picture of 2007. And luckily, it already comes out in January, so the wait won't be too long.
