The animated movies still to come in 2006

The first half of 2006 is over, and we have already seen some great animated movies breaking all sorts of records. Let's hope you're not bored of animation yet, because the second half of this year sees seven more animated flicks coming your way! What happened to the times when all you had every two years was a Disney movie, with some lesser quality pics trying to catch some spotlight inbetween? Then again, with the quality of the animated pictures nowadays, who wants to go back to the old days? Here's the seven animated films to watch, in a nice top seven to help you write that Most Wanted list.

Which are the Big Superhero Movies for 2007?

This weekend Superman finally returns to cinemas (sadly not all over the world yet, but for the rest of us Superman is coming in August!), and one of the longest waits in movie history is over. And if you are one of the millions of people who are going to see the movie on opening weekend, then chances are you are also one of the people who will walk out of the theatre afterwards, feeling pleased but also a little empty. After all, the wait is over, so there is nothing left to look forward to. However, there are still plenty of other superhero movies on the way, with 2007 being a banner year for the genre. The Ten Coolest Actresses of this summer

Over here in Holland, the birds are falling from the roofs because of the heat. In times like these, you don't want to see a list with the 10 hottest actresses, which is why I thought it would be a better idea to make a list with the 10 coolest actresses around right now. Sure, most of these are 'hot' as well, but the main thing is that these are the actresses that can do more than just scream, pout or run away from big explosions. From unknowns to well-knows, from actresses in summer movies that have almost left the theaters already to actresses in summer movies that are still on the way, here are, in no particular order, the ten actresses whose movies you cannot afford to miss this summer.

Review: Poseidon (2006)

Whenever there is a new disaster movie in the cinemas, and it flops, I hold my breath. Insanely expensive disaster movies belong to my favorite types of movies, and I always worry that big losses for one of the movies in the genre will spell the end for pictures involving small groups of people bonding together to try and survive the worst things that can happen to them. Poseidon's dissapointing box office does not bode well for the future of the genre, but the movie itself is not to blame for it. Because Poseidon is a lot of fun to watch, with good acting, great effects and some scenes that had me shuffling anxiously in my seat, which is exactly what makes these movies so much fun to watch.
