Monster House is the big Dreamworks animated movie for next summer. It's all about a group of kids who become intrigued by the house on the other side of the street. This is not just any house, mind, it's a living, breathing, scary monster! Of course, nobody believes the kids, and they will have to go and examine things themselves, which leads to many wild adventures. The teaser trailer has premiered online over at Quicktime, and it looks pretty good. It seems to me like this is a less merchandise friendly Dreamworks movie (although a Monster House Happy Meal is not out of the question), and maybe that's a good thing. Judge for yourself by clicking here and viewing the teaser, which is pretty long and shows quite a bit for 'just' a teaser.
I was watching the commercial to this movie, and I noticed the young girl (with the red hair) said to 2 boys, when they had told her not to enter the house, "What are you 'Mentally Challenged'"... Do you not know how offensive that is to parents that have a inoccent disabled children! That movie is a disgrace to people who are different. I'm sure you're not perfect either, and you shouldn't use mentally challenged to describe 2 silly children in a movie. This is a disgrace, and I hope you realize that the disabled are not to be made into a joke... or used to be a humourous come back... I am very dissaponited... I really liked your movies, and this is a total shock, and I have lost a lot of respect! I attend middle school, and we have special needs in my school, and this is very disturbing! I consider them to be like everyone else, and they should be treated that way too!
