Transformers 2 and 3 given the early go-ahead

There was already word that there would be more Transformers movies, and now news arrives that the studio behind the movies, Dreamworks, has given the producers the 'early go-ahead' to also make parts 2 and 3. Early go-ahead means that the studio has faith in the project becoming a success, and that the filmmakers can start with screenplays and designs for the rest of the trilogy, and that the plug will only be pulled if the movie doesn't turn into the runaway success everybody thinks it will be.
