Ioan Gruffud hoping for third Fantastic Four movie

ComingSoon.net caught up with Ioan Gruffud and talked to him a bit about the second Fantastic Four movie, which is being prepped as we speak. He says that he has not actually read a script yet, but that he is still very excited to be involved again. "It's fantastic. You know it's beyond our wildest dreams on how it performed in the box office. Obviously personally I'm delighted that we're going back. Hopefully this one will be successful and we'll go back for a third one as well after that."

The Fantastic Four movie will be released in America this weekend (with most of the rest of the world to follow in the next week), and expectations are high. Sure, there have been some bad reviews, but isn't that always how it goes with superhero movies? Happy being Thing...

The Chicago Sun Times had a small interview with Michael Chiklis, the man soon to be known the world over as: The Thing! The interview was about the costume Chiklis had to wear during the shoot, and it's obvious that Chiklis was not very happy. In fact, he even had to go to therapy to be able to get into the suit, which was so heavy and invasive that Chiklis got major claustrophobic problems once inside. Screenwriter spills the beans

Simon Kinberg is one of the hottest writers in Hollywood at the moment. He has written Mr. and Mrs. Smith and has also got for XXX: State of the Union and X-Men 3 on his list of credits. He was asked to do some rewriting for the Fantastic Four movie, mainly focusing on transforming the character of Dr. Doom. Kinberg has been interviewed by Hollywood Reporter and in this very lengthy interview he describes the process of working on Fantastic 4. Most of the interview is on Mr. and Mrs. Smith, but if you scroll down a bit you will find the info on his work on F4. It's pretty interesting to read.

Did Incredibles spoil F4?

USA Today has a long and detailed article about F4 on their website. They interviewed some of the people involved with the movie and it is filled with a lot of interesting quotes. It was funny to read what the makers thought of The Incredibles. "There were a lot of four-letter words flying around," director Tim Story comments on their feelings after they had seen The Incredibles. They even had to cut a scene from the movie, in which The Thing rescues a cat from a tree, because it was also in The Incredibles.
