Carice van Houten, the Dutch actress who made name for herself with her brilliant acting in Paul Verhoeven's Black Book, has signed on for her second movie in English, Smoke and Ochre. This pic will be telling the life of South African painter Ingrid Jonker, who was part of a group of artists who heavily resisted the censoring done by the ruling National Party. It's a tragic story, then again, aren't most bio-pics, and Carice can use this role to once again show her depth.
