Will Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt retire in a few years?

In an interview with Parade Magazine, Angelina Jolie has announced that she is considering quitting acting, so that she can fully concentrate on her family. And not just that, according to Jolie, hubby Brad Pitt might join her. While you have to take these retirement statements with a few grains of salt (or maybe take them with a lot of grains of salt), at least it shows that Jolie is growing a bit tired of her movie career. Or, as she says in the interview: "To be sitting doing an interview, talking about a movie, my relationships, whatever it may have been - you don't feel like you're contributing anything. I have nothing against film. I like film. But at the end of the day, you wonder about your worth as a person."

Check out four clips of A Mighty Heart

Paramount has put four new clips online for A Mighty Heart, their upcoming movie that's based on the story of journalist Daniel Pearl, who was kidnapped and killed while at work in the Middle East. The movie focusses on what Pearl's wife Mariane went through while her husband was being held and stars Angelina Jolie in the lead role.

Angelina Jolie to take a year off from work

Angelina Jolie has decided that also for her, enough is enough. Just like Johnny Depp, she has decided to quit acting for a while and cuddle up with her family, at least for one year. She will finish some of her upcoming projects and then sometime next year she just wants to spend time with her kids and Brad Pitt. No word yet on whether Brad is intending to do the same as his missus.

While the star of Lara Croft is still shining when it comes to videogames, her life in movies seemed all but over after the disappointment that was the second Tomb Raider movie (and, well, actually also the first one to be honest). However, now there is talk that there might actually be a third Tomb Raider movie after all. Or at least that's one of the designers of the original game, Ian Livingstone, is telling. "At this moment in time it's still not green-lit, but the signs are there. They (filmstudio Paramount) are willing to put a scriptwriter on board. Angelina Jolie has an option to do a third movie." Don't get your hopes up too high though, since Dark Horizons mentioned that this is almost exactly what Livingstone said about a year ago...

Jolie joins Kung Fu Panda

Angelina Jolie has joined the voice cast of new animated movie Kung Fu Panda. She will voice Tigress, one of the five martial arts masters who have to teach a 'chosen one' how he can save his land from evil enemies. This chosen one is a Panda, normally a humble waiter in a noodle restaurant, who has his doubts about being this chosen one everybody is referring to. Jolie joins other actors like Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan en Lucy Liu, and makes this her first post-pregnancy movie. Kung Fu Panda will be released in 2008.

Angelina wins MTV award for Best Fight

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have won the MTV Award for Best Fight. They won the award for their spirited performance in Mr. and Mrs. Smith, with which they more or less wrecked the house in which the scene was taking place. A rightful award for this all out action scene, that upped the ante by being both intense and sexy.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have decided to release photos of their newborn baby Shiloh, to one press agency, and to then donate the money earned with the sale to charity. The charity of their choice can look forward to a big financial injection, since the pictures sold for several millions of dollars. The lucky agency in question is Getty Images. In a statement concerning the sale, the couple said the following: "While we celebrate the joy of the birth of our daughter, we recognize that two million babies born every year in the developing world die on the first day of their lives. These children can be saved, but only if governments around the world make it priority."

It's a girl!

Angelina Jolie and her beau Brad Pitt have become the parents of a daughter, to be named Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt. Further details were not yet disclosed, and you can bet that neither Jolie nor Pitt will be very talkative on the subject. A doctor involved with the birth said that both mother and daughter are doing very well. This is the first biological kid for Jolie and Pitt, who also have two adopted children.

Angelina and Brad getting married in Africa?

Now that Angelina and Brad are holed up at some nature reserve in Namibia, guarded by ferocious lions eager for tasting paparazzi meat, new rumors are emerging that the couple will get married in Africa. According to various sources (keep in mind that these sources might have a wild imagination), family members of both Angelina and Brad are flying to Namibia soon, reportedly to attend the wedding, though there is a chance, of course, that the family just want to check out those cool lions themselves.
